12-9-2014Update: all the problems I had yesterday were resolved by the time I woke up. Tony fixed my issue not only for me but for all future readers of his book and sent me an email letting me know. That is five star service and so I've upped my rating to reflect that. I'll also update this review in the upcoming weeks as I digest some more of the content. Thanks Tony!12-8-2014I've been chomping at the bit to learn Lightroom and did a lot of research before buying the Kindle edition of this book. It looked good. I started reading the book and watching the videos and immediately ran into a problem. In the chapter one video on the Library module, Tony asks us to open a sample LR catalog which we are supposed to download from a supplied URL. I tried going to the URL on two separate browsers (Opera and Chrome) and each reported different error messages (Opera's: You tried to access the address (URL goes here), which is currently unavailable. Please make sure that the web address (URL) is correctly spelled and punctuated, then try reloading the page.) and (Chrome's: No data received Unable to load the webpage because the server sent no data.Error code: ERR_EMPTY_RESPONSE).Who wants to buy a Lightroom book and then spend time troubleshooting web error messages?I also was told somewhere that there were other downloads I could access if I sent Tony an email with my receipt so I could be registered. I was told that might take a day or two.I am sure all this will be resolved quickly tomorrow and will update this review at that point. However, at this point I'm not pleased.
