I use this as a gear bag for car travel, to carry all the stuff that I usually drag along. My only fault found with this bag is that I wish they provided more of the movable velcro tab dividers. But I was able to use all the dividers from my previous bag in conjunction with these, so I have plenty of compartments the sizes I need, ranging from narrow to camera-sized. The thing that made me choose this bag over replacing the Amazon Basics medium sized camera bag I was using is that I don't like the way most of these bags are now made with dual straps and buckles over the top, which require both hands to close. With the zipper top, and this bag sitting on the seat beside me, I can open, access, and close the bag all with one hand, so far more convenient when behind the wheel. With the strap and buckle style, even when parked, it is a pain to get something out of the bag and then re-close it. Since I am not carrying expensive or heavy equipment, I don't need the added security those nylon buckle straps lend to the handle supporting that style of bag. This style's zipper top is plenty strong for its carry handle with what I carry. It is a bit large for car travel, but that is offset by the fact I have plenty of currently unfilled compartments for anything else I want to add later, making returning from a small shopping trip nice, as I don't have an armload to carry indoors. I can put what I bought in the spare compartments and carry it all with one hand.
