I had previously purchased an X-Rocker 5125401 which initially worked well; however, in roughly 3 years it fell apart due to use and the materials used to make it. The other issue were the multiple wires that made for a tripping hazard. This new X-Rocker has been a vast improvement over it's predecessor. The materials seem sturdier and having a bluetooth receiver has eliminated the need to have multiple wires connected. The sound is good for a gaming chair and the vibrations that hit your lower back can feel really good when you need it and really jarring when you're watching a scary movie at night :) If I had one small issue it would be that the receiver eats regular AA batteries fairly quickly unless you use lithium or a 3 volt power supply that is not included with the chair. I was able to find a suitable universal power supply from Amazon for about $10 which worked well. Other than that one detail it's working quiet well for my streaming and gaming needs. Now let me just first say this. I do not often write reviews on products but I felt the need to put my input in about this chair because this chair gets a lot of bad reviews simply because people don't know what they are talking about. Also I won't be commenting on the comfortability of this chair because based on your weight, height, body build, etc, it will vary. I'm 5'8" and 230lbs and it works fine for me. That's all I will say. Anyways let's get on with it. This chair does not have an insane amount of bass to it. It does not rumble like some crazy, expensive subwoofer but it does I have enough bass to fill in any gaps in the sound where otherwise without the subwoofer it would just sound very tinny because the side speakers are basically all high end speakers. Which basically means they're all treble, no bass. The subwoofer does a good job at carrying the low end of the sound and it does sound good it's just not very loud but honestly after playing several different games with it, watching movies with it and listening to music with it it seemed to do just fine. NOW this next part is VERY important and goes hand in hand with the subwoofer. The vibration effect. The vibration effect is a very great way of tricking your brain, and body, into thinking that your subwoofer kicks major butt. The vibration on this chair IS really good and depending on what game you're playing or what movie you are watching it can get pretty insane/intense in a very good way. Now what I meant by the vibration can, "trick your brain into thinking you have a kick butt subwoofer," is that the vibration rumbles in all the right places like an expensive, loud, hard hitting subwoofer, when big impacts happen on your game/movie such as: a crash, a gunshot, an explosion, etc and it works really well in my opinion. When I first had my chair turned on I played the game Bulletstorm (PS4), which is FULL of loud, large guns and huge explosions, and I had the bass and vibration turned all the way up on my chair and it was so loud and rumbly. I thought it was the subwoofer doing all that but it ended up just being the vibration effect. So overall the vibration effect works extremely well and sounds great. Now for the chair overall with the two side speakers, the sub and the vibration. Overall I really ended up liking this chair. When I first put it together I hooked it up to my PS4 and I was not really impressed because the PS4 only allows external speakers, such as the chair, to get so loud and, to me, the PS4 just didn't allow it to get loud enough on the game that I first tested but shortly after I tested another game, Bulletstorm and Doom, and it was REALLY loud, PLENTY loud, and sounded REALLY great. The side speakers work so well. You can even hear the little 'ting' noise as bullet shells hit the ground and what not. I would like to talk about one more thing before I end this review. This chair CAN be EXTREMELY loud, like WAY loud, if you hook it up the right systems. Of course you have to be careful not to blow your speakers but I hooked this chair up to my PC and played some music and holy CRAP the PC pushed this chair to it's limits! It was honestly louder than my 5.1 Logitech Surround System. It was insane and I was very impressed haha. So overall I really do like this chair but I would only recommend getting it if it's under $200.00. I got mine for $170.00, $180.00 with tax and what not, and I think that's a decent price. With the subwoofer being a bit subpar per-se I would have rather bought it for about $120 or $130 but $170 wasn't too bad. I've seen this chair on here for $240 and that is just WAYYYY too much for this chair. So, again, overall I'd rate this chair 9 out of 10 simply because the subwoofer. If it had a SLIGHTLY bassier subwoofer then it would easily be 10 out of 10. But I do highly recommend this chair. It is a fantastic chair......For the right price.Bought this for my son's 18th birthday. He loves it. Great sound quality, wireless, and swivel design is amazing. He is tall, so it gets him off the ground for gaming and helps his posture. He also uses it to lounge and read! Comes in a VERY heavy box, but overall easy to assemble. We intialy purchased a X rocker RGB floor rocking chair and although some reviews stated it would be large enough for a teenager, turned out it was much smaller and really only appropriate for someone under 5 feet 3 inches and less than 100 pounds. In addition, sitting that low to the ground is uncomfortable, your legs don't get any support and difficult to find a good position for any length of time.Since this X Rocker Pro Series Pedestal went on sale it was only $30 more than the floor version. Plus this one was dimensionally larger, so offered more support and allowed room to move around in. With your legs in a more normal seated position, your legs don't fall asleep or feel too much pressure.Enough of the WHY, we chose this chair. On to the what. While both the floor version and this one has built-in speakers, this one has more punch and depth to the sound. Larger speaker cavity = more bass? Perhaps but no matter what, don't expect the built-in speakers to knock your socks off. They just aren't premium components plus NO Bluetooth!! In this day and age, what sound extension system doesn't have Bluetooth? SMHThe bass is acceptable but not very deep although you can feel it through the seat back. Fun for a bit but can be disturbing because it lacks fidelity and depth to the sound. But it works and does the job.Comfort, our son is 5'6' - 105 lbs very thin. He fits well almost bordering on being too small for this chair. He claims it's comfortable but when I sit in it (5'8' - 160 lbs), AI feel it lacks any lumbar or under thigh support. The padding is acceptable but nothing to write home about. The pleather is smooth and the stitching looks decent but not high end. This is not a compact chair and takes up more floor space than my Herman Miller Aeron chair. Not sure how it will hold up over time but we shall see.The arm rests are optional to install and hard plastic. No padding at the contact points. Having said that, they are useful and does what they are there for. Note: there are warnings to NOT move this chair holding it by the arms only. I can see how that could cause problems ripping/stripping the few bolts securing the arms to the frame. This chair actually has hard rocker rails on the bottom, so if you left off the pedestal, it would work as a floor rocking gaming chair. But hey, I paid for an height adjustable, off the floor swivel, so I will use it as such.Connections are all basically different versions of being hardwired. Even if you opt to use the included "wireless" - it's just a transmitter for your analog sound output. No digital processing here. Shame. Cette chaise est donc un méga non, vous devriez passer à côté complètement.I'd give this product negative stars if I could, purely based on the fact that I've never owned something that had such horrendous design flaws. First it has a support in the seat about 3/4 way down my thighs with a negligible amount of padding going across it. If you sit in any other position besides straight up with your feet of the ground it digs in badly. The back is curved in such a way that forces you in to terrible posture. It's almost like the chair is made for a child or very small person. The head rest goes to my traps. But it does have some redeeming qualitys. The sound is good and the vibration really rumbles.I would have returned this and went back to the plastic folding chair I was using before but it is marginally better.ok... I purchased this chair because of all the great reviews.. To start, I am 220lbs and 5'11"...The good: Sound was good, worked wirelessly and the material was above average. The Bad. The arms on the chair were so low, you couldn't use them (if you're an adult .. and they are not adjustable/... also, there is a board right at the front of the seat that comes across the back of your legs.. after about 20mins my legs were falling asleep so I tried a foot stool and that didn't help at all...Also you couldn't really sit back in it because the contour in the back was for kid or a short person... I found that if you wanted to get your head on the back rest you had to slouch to a point that was uncomfortable... I gave it to my 12 yr old nephew who uses it but wanted to make sure that people understand that you should be 5'5" or shorter if you want to use this and be aware of that board in the seat.. I will not but another Xrocker product again.I am pleasantly surprised at how nice this chair is. At this price, I had pretty low expectations, but I was wrong. Delivery was quick, assembly easy (30 minutes) and it is fairly comfortable (I am 6', 200 lbs). It swivels freely, rocks easily, doesn't take up a lot of room and decent sound quality is a nice bonus. Quality of build is better than I expected and the packing in the original box was outstanding. A great chair for gaming. Recommended.Couldn’t be happier with this purchase. Zero problems having it connected to my PlayStation 4 as the audio cables provided hook directly up to the television and any sound from the tv goes through the chair. Auxiliary port is also nice as it allows podcasts or audio books from my phone to be played through the chair as well. The speakers are great, very powerful, and vibration is a nice touch, especially during war style games. When running Netflix through the chair and sitting across from the TV on the couch the chair acts as a sound system of sorts and enhances movie nights.I saw some reviews saying the chair was uncomfortable for taller people (6’ and up) but standing st 6’1 I can say that I have not had any issues of the sort. Chair is extremely comfortable and supportive and the ability to swivel and tilt back is also very nice.Incredibly easy to assemble (I had the chair together in less than 15mins) and doesn’t take up as much room as I thought. The ability to fold down when not in use (so my cat doesn’t get his hair all over it) is an added bonus.Would highly recommend for anyone interested in a deeper, richer gaming experience.
