Description
New! LeapTV, the first Educational, Active Gaming System for kids featuring Disney Jake and the Never Land Pirates for LeapTVgaming systems puts early mathematics learning in motion for children ages 3-5 years. Kids jump into counting, shapes, number recognition, number sense and sorting/classifying in an action-packed pirate adventure. In Disney Jakeand the Never Land Pirates for LeapTV gaming systems, when Jake, Izzy and Cubby find a bottle on the beach containing a map, they're sure it leads to treasure-but pieces are missing. The pirate crew needs brave, energetic explorers to help them put the map together and find the treasure. Search high and low and play five active mini-games. Run, fly and sail around Never Land in search of pirate treasure-look out for Captain Hook! Children get up and move throughout the adventure. They twist and turn to steer Bucky across the choppy seas, navigating toward shapes and avoiding obstacles and Captain Hook. Back on land, they chop vines to help Jake clear a path through the jungle. When Jake's energy runs low, they'll need to sort, classify and slice coconuts to fuel him back up for his quest. With the treasure's location still up in the air-and Captain Hook gaining on them-Jake's crew needs to raise the stakes. Jump up to join Izzy on Skybird Island and use the pointer to fly her through the clouds. Reach up to count numbers and grab gold doubloons. Come back down to the beach with Cubby and shake the controller to dig for treasure. Then, sort and classify the gems. Mathematics curriculum automatically adjusts to each child's learning level, from recognizing simple shapes and numerals to identifying polygons and higher numbers. -Pamela G., PhD, LeapFrog Learning Expert Works with LeapTVTM gaming system (sold separately). Bought as a Christmas gift last year. (he was 3) He played it about 10 times but became bored. The graphics are very good and the interaction is great for the kids. (and adults. haha) However, as stated before, there are only about 5 'levels' and if your child has ANY experience with any type of tablet that has downloadable games, they may become bored after they play this a few times. For the beginner it is GREAT! AND at a great price!! The one thing that concerns me is, there are not many leaptv games and I bought the system with the understanding it would help prepare him on into 3rd grade. Not so. I am donating it to my local church avilated childcare center. Game and console came in perfect condition and VERY fast!Cartridges don't work. Order from leapfrog appThe Item came secure and safe. My only concern is that with the case itself why should you have to pay for such a big thing that holds a very small disk. Maybe if the disk inside was shipped in a 90% smaller case and bubble wrapped it would have cost a little less. My daughter loves the game though, so no complaints. My daughter has been playing this game since she unwrapped her Christmas gifts. Educational and very fun. I would recommend to anyone who is looking at games for children 5 years old or close to it. I love the fact how it allows her to truly interact with the game. Plus, she loved seeing herself on the television. She said she was a star lol.My son has the Ultimate Spiderman game and loves it. He is 5. He has limited screen time, but even still he beat this game within the first week of owning it. When he beat it the game just reset and went back to the home. No party at the end or even making it more complex...I love the Spiderman, but felt like this Jake game was more for a younger child. Our boys love this game! While it's really too easy for our kindergartener, he still enjoys playing and it's perfect for our preschooler.I'm so glad i found out about the Leap Frog game because i always wanted something that would be fun and educational for my son and he loves it and since ordering this game i've also purchased more games and we couldn't be happier. All of my girls like this game. Some of the movements of the game a a little difficult for the younger ones and may need help before they get frustrated. And since my girls are creatures of habit we really havent gotten far within the game itself, that is why I gave it a 3. The material itself seems appropiate for the ages.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️(5/5)We bought this to go along with LeapTV game system.Pros:• It's Jake & the Neverland Pirates - my girls love the to show• the game is quite easy to get into and (as far as I can tell) changes difficulty depending on the user profile / age• My girls have played it for hours, mostly the same few games, but has good, repetitive, gameplay for the age groupCons:• Nothing to do with this game (hence keeping 5*) but the LeapTV system might be quickly outgrown - thinking we may have been better investing in a WiiU with some age appropriate games that will grow with them.• Again... nothing to do with this game, but there doesn't seem to be very many games for the system. Not sure how many more will be developed for it in the future either.Fantastic. This is one of the kids favourite games, and there is such a variety of different activites to play all in one game. This is their go to game so 100%recommendAnother great Leapfrog game - both 5yr old and 6yr old really enjoy this game - younger child is not as accomplished with video games as the older one and this is a great game that he can actually do, which helps his confidence in this area - absolutely recommend!!Still enjoyed and played regularly after nearly 2 years. The mini games are all very different. Definately one of the better leaptv games. This would be in my sons top 3 leaptv games after kart racing and spidermanExcellent my son loves it
